We believe that all women and children have the right to be and feel safe and happy.

We always strive to meet the needs of women and children experiencing Domestic Violence and Abuse, by providing inclusive, supportive and confidential services that empower women and children to live life without fear.

We have been supporting women and children in Kildare since 1999.

Teach Tearmainn receive funding from the State to cover our core services, but this does not cover all costs. New projects, development and the expansion of vital services and overhead costs are not always covered by our funders. Consequently, we rely on the help of our wonderful donors and supporters.

Some of the projects that have been recently funded through donations include:

• Our 2024 summer party for children and their families to Tayto Park
• The expansion of our Outreach Service, including the establishment of our dedicated Court Accompaniment Worker in Naas.
• The provision of vouchers to families at Christmas to help them purchase presents, toys etc.

Last year, we had the privilege of organizing an unforgettable trip to Emerald Park for all the children in our service. The day was filled with excitement and adventure, as the children explored the park’s many attractions and braved the exhilarating Tír na nÓg Rollercoaster. Our staff were exceptional, ensuring that every child had a safe and enjoyable experience. It was truly a day to remember, filled with smiles, laughter, and cherished memories.
