Teach Tearmainn provides training for organisations and individuals in the public sector, community and voluntary groups to enhance their responses to victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Teach Tearmainn offers awareness sessions tailored for a diverse array of statutory, community, and voluntary organisations, networks, and communities.

These sessions are meticulously crafted to:

• Educate participants about the nuances of domestic abuse, fostering a comprehensive understanding of its various forms, dynamics, and impact on individuals and families.
• Illuminate the landscape of specialist domestic violence services available throughout Ireland, ensuring participants are well-informed about the support networks and resources accessible to survivors of domestic abuse.

Through these sessions, Teach Tearmainn endeavours to empower communities with knowledge, equipping them to recognise, respond to, and ultimately combat domestic abuse effectively.

The Purple Hand Campaign

This campaign and businesses offers the opportunity for business, organisations and groups in Kildare to participate in training that will allow them to recognise and respond to DVA appropriately . Once the training is complete you will be awarded with a purple hand to display in your business or community . This will show women that you are part of the ‘Purple Hand Campaign‘ and a safe space to gain support and information regarding domestic abuse .
